Ingredients
For the Apple Wedges:
- 2 large apples (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Granny Smith)
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tsp cornstarch (for extra crispiness)
For the Caramel Whipped Cream Dipping Sauce:
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp caramel sauce (plus more for drizzling)
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Apples
- Wash, core, and slice the apples into wedges (about ½-inch thick).
- In a bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch.
- Toss the apple wedges in the mixture until fully coated.
2. Air Fry the Apples
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place the apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until tender and slightly crispy on the edges.
3. Make the Caramel Whipped Cream
- In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form.
- Add the caramel sauce, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract, then continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
4. Serve & Enjoy
- Transfer the warm apple wedges to a serving plate.
- Drizzle with extra caramel sauce if desired.
- Serve with the caramel whipped cream dipping sauce on the side.
