Air Fried Apple Wedges with Caramel Whipped Cream Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

For the Apple Wedges:

  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Granny Smith)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (for extra crispiness)

For the Caramel Whipped Cream Dipping Sauce:

  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp caramel sauce (plus more for drizzling)
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the Apples

  • Wash, core, and slice the apples into wedges (about ½-inch thick).
  • In a bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch.
  • Toss the apple wedges in the mixture until fully coated.

2. Air Fry the Apples

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  • Place the apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until tender and slightly crispy on the edges.

3. Make the Caramel Whipped Cream

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form.
  • Add the caramel sauce, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract, then continue whipping until stiff peaks form.

4. Serve & Enjoy

  • Transfer the warm apple wedges to a serving plate.
  • Drizzle with extra caramel sauce if desired.
  • Serve with the caramel whipped cream dipping sauce on the side.
