Air Fryer Donuts

Air Fryer Donuts

Ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 1 can of refrigerated biscuit dough or homemade donut dough
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2-3 tablespoons melted butter

For the glaze (optional):

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. While the air fryer is preheating, open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. If you’re using homemade donut dough, shape it into donut rings.
  3. In a shallow dish, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Brush the donuts with melted butter, then dip them into the cinnamon-sugar mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. Place the coated donuts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving some space between them to allow for air circulation.
  5. Cook the donuts in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5-8 minutes. Check them after 5 minutes, and if they haven’t reached your desired level of crispiness and doneness, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Keep a close eye on them to avoid overcooking.
  6. While the donuts are cooking, you can prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until you have a smooth glaze.
  7. Once the donuts are done, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.
  8. If desired, drizzle the glaze over the donuts while they are still warm.
  9. Serve the air fryer donuts immediately for the best taste and texture.
