Air Fryer Quesadilla

Air Fryer Quesadilla

Ingredients:

  • Flour tortillas
  • Shredded cheese (such as cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a Mexican blend)
  • Cooked and seasoned protein (e.g., chicken, beef, or shrimp) – optional
  • Vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, onions, or mushrooms) – optional
  • Cooking spray or a little oil (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to around 350-375°F (175-190°C).
  2. Lay out one tortilla on a clean surface or a cutting board.
  3. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese evenly over half of the tortilla. If you’re adding protein or vegetables, layer them on top of the cheese.
  4. Fold the tortilla over to cover the cheese and fillings, creating a half-moon shape.
  5. If you’d like, you can lightly spray the outside of the quesadilla with cooking spray or brush it with a small amount of oil. This step helps in achieving a crispy texture.
  6. Place the prepared quesadilla in the air fryer basket, seam side down. If your air fryer is large enough, you can cook multiple quesadillas at once, making sure not to overcrowd the basket.
  7. Cook the quesadilla in the preheated air fryer for about 5-8 minutes, flipping it halfway through the cooking time. Cooking time may vary depending on the type and size of your air fryer. You want the quesadilla to be golden brown and crispy.
  8. Once the quesadilla is cooked to your desired level of crispiness and the cheese is melted, remove it from the air fryer and let it cool for a minute before slicing.
  9. Slice the quesadilla into wedges, and you’re ready to serve. You can pair it with salsa, guacamole, sour cream, or any of your favorite condiments.
