Ingredients:
- 1 head of green cabbage
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: Garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, or your favorite herbs and spices for additional flavor
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Remove any loose outer leaves from the cabbage and trim the stem end.
- Cut the cabbage into 1-inch thick slices, creating “steaks.”
- Place the cabbage steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush both sides of the cabbage steaks with olive oil.
- Season the steaks with salt, pepper, and any optional herbs or spices you like.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the cabbage is tender, flipping the steaks halfway through the cooking time.
- Once done, remove from the oven and serve immediately.
- Optional: Drizzle with a bit more olive oil or a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
