Carnivore Beef Kabobs
Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs (700g) beef cubes (sirloin, ribeye, or any tender cut of beef)
- 2 tbsp beef tallow, ghee, or butter (melted)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper (optional for strict carnivore)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional for flavor)
- Wooden or metal skewers
Instructions:
- Prepare the Beef:
- Cut the beef into uniform 1-1.5 inch cubes if not pre-cut. Pat dry with a paper towel to remove moisture for better searing.
- Place the beef cubes in a mixing bowl, and coat them with melted beef tallow or ghee.
- Sprinkle salt and any optional seasonings (black pepper or garlic powder) evenly over the beef. Toss to coat well.
- Assemble the Kabobs:
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Thread the beef cubes onto the skewers, leaving a small space between each cube for even cooking.
- Cook the Kabobs:
- Grill Option: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the kabobs for 8–10 minutes, turning every 2–3 minutes, until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness (medium-rare is about 130–135°F).
- Oven Option: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the kabobs on a baking sheet with a wire rack. Bake for 12–15 minutes, turning once halfway through, until the beef reaches your preferred doneness.
- Stovetop Option: Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the kabobs for 3–4 minutes on each side until cooked to your liking.
- Baste with Fat:
- While cooking, baste the kabobs with additional melted tallow, ghee, or butter to keep them moist and flavorful.
- Serve:
- Remove the kabobs from the grill, oven, or skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. Drizzle with any leftover melted fat for extra richness.
Pro Tips:
- Meat Selection: Use well-marbled cuts like ribeye or sirloin for extra tenderness and flavor.
- Add Fat: For additional fat, wrap some cubes in thin slices of bacon before skewering.
- Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet with a bit of tallow or butter.
