Chocolate chip Banana Bread 🍞

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and set it aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the mashed bananas, buttermilk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  7. Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  9. Bake for about 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Remove the banana bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
  11. Transfer the bread to a wire rack and allow it to cool completely before slicing.
