Chocolate chip Banana Bread

Ingredients:
- 2 to 3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 cup)
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
- Mix in the baking soda and pinch of salt.
- Add the granulated sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and stir well.
- Gradually add the flour to the banana mixture, stirring until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan, spreading it out evenly.
- Optional: You can sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top of the batter for a nice presentation.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
