Home Made Pizza Chips

Ingredients:

  • 6 small flour tortillas (whole wheat for a healthier option)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Your favorite pizza toppings (e.g., sliced pepperoni, olives, bell peppers, etc.)
  • Olive oil spray (optional)
  • Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare Tortillas:
    • Lay the tortillas on a flat surface. Using a pizza cutter, cut each tortilla into 8 wedges, similar to slicing a pizza.
  3. Arrange on Baking Sheets:
    • Place the tortilla wedges in a single layer on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  4. Spread Pizza Sauce:
    • Using a brush or the back of a spoon, spread a thin layer of pizza sauce onto each tortilla wedge.
  5. Add Cheese and Toppings:
    • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce. Add your favorite pizza toppings, distributing them evenly.
  6. Optional: Olive Oil Spray and Seasoning:
    • For extra crispiness, you can lightly spray the top of the chips with olive oil spray. Optionally, sprinkle Italian seasoning on top for added flavor.
  7. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted, and the edges of the tortillas are golden and crispy.
  8. Cool and Serve:
    • Allow the pizza chips to cool for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Enjoy:
    • Serve your homemade pizza chips with additional pizza sauce for dipping, if desired.
