Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract – 0 SmartPoints
  • ¼ teaspoon salt – 0 SmartPoints

Instructions:

  1. Mix the Ingredients

    • In a large bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. Chill the Mixture

    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to allow flavors to meld and the mixture to chill.
  3. Churn the Ice Cream

    • If using an ice cream maker:
      • Pour the chilled mixture into the ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 20-25 minutes) until thick and creamy.
    • If not using an ice cream maker:
      • Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze for 30 minutes. Stir well, breaking up ice crystals, then return to the freezer. Repeat every 30 minutes for about 3-4 hours until the mixture reaches a smooth, ice cream consistency.
  4. Freeze & Serve

    • Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
