Keto Biscuits and Gravy

Keto Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups almond flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 large egg

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the mozzarella cheese, sour cream, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Divide the dough into 6 portions and roll each portion into a ball. Place them on the baking sheet and gently flatten the tops.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden and firm to the touch.
  6. Set the biscuits aside while you prepare the gravy.

Keto Sausage Gravy

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage (ground pork or turkey sausage, without added sugar)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (or water, if preferred)
  • 1/4 tsp xanthan gum (for thickening)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
  2. Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the heavy cream and chicken broth, allowing it to simmer.
  3. Sprinkle the xanthan gum over the gravy and stir continuously until it thickens, about 3–5 minutes.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, adjusting to taste.

Assemble and Serve

  1. Slice a keto biscuit in half and spoon the sausage gravy over it.
  2. Serve warm and enjoy!
