My husband is making turkey breakfast sausage patties. We usually buy it premade but the ones you can buy are like 3 points and small due to sugar and fat content. We’re using 99% fat free ground turkey and seasoning it to taste like sausage. 0-1 points depending if you include a little brown sugar.
I don’t have a recipe! We just looked up dry spices that go in sausage.
99% Fat free turkey (we did 3 lbs at once)
Fennel
Sage
Salt
Pepper
Red pepper flakes
Wood fire garlic seasoning
Very small amount of brown sugar (1 Tbsp for 3 lbs)
We mixed it and then cooked up a little bit to taste just in case we needed to adjust. We make breakfast sandwiches on bread so he made 2.4ish ounce balls and then smushed it down with a burger press when he cooked it up. He cooked it we will take them out of the freezer for sandwiches.
