Assembly:
- 4 slices vegan cheese (like cheddar or provolone)
- 4 slices of vegan sourdough or rye bread
- Vegan butter, for toasting
Instructions:
- Prepare the Lentil Patties: In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed lentils, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, soy sauce, ketchup, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. Form the mixture into two patties.
- Cook the Patties: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the lentil patties and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crisp. Remove from heat and set aside.
