Vegan Orange Creamsicle Moonshine

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice (about 6-8 oranges)
  • 1 cup full-fat coconut milk (canned)
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup or agave nectar
  • 1/2 cup vodka (for moonshine flavor)
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier, Triple Sec, or a vegan alternative)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Zest of one orange
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Begin by juicing the oranges to obtain 2 cups of fresh orange juice. Ensure that it’s well strained to remove any pulp.
  2. In a blender, combine the fresh orange juice, full-fat coconut milk, maple syrup (or agave nectar), vodka, orange liqueur, vanilla extract, and orange zest. Blend until all the ingredients are well combined.
  3. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more maple syrup or agave nectar.
  4. If you prefer a colder drink, add ice cubes to the blender and blend until the mixture is well chilled and frothy.
  5. Pour the Vegan Orange Creamsicle Moonshine into bottles or a glass container with a tight-sealing lid.
  6. Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the drink to chill.
  7. Serve the Vegan Orange Creamsicle Moonshine in small glasses or mason jars. Garnish with a slice of orange or a twist of orange peel if desired.
