Ingredients:
8 oz. spaghetti noodles
1 tbsp. olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, diced
1 can (14 oz.) crushed tomatoes
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Vegan parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
Cook spaghetti noodles according to package directions until al dente.
While the spaghetti is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and onion and sauté until softened.
Add crushed tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Drain spaghetti noodles and add them to the skillet with the tomato sauce. Toss to coat the noodles with the sauce.
Serve the spaghetti hot, topped with chopped fresh parsley and vegan parmesan cheese (if using).
