Ingrediets:
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef (at least 90% lean)
1 cup old-fashioned oats, uncooked
1 cup skim milk
1 large egg
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 bell pepper (any color), finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the Meatloaf Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, oats, skim milk, egg, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, minced garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
Shape the Meatloaf:
Transfer the meatloaf mixture to a lightly greased loaf pan or shape it into a loaf on a baking sheet.
Top with Ketchup:
Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top of the meatloaf for added flavor.
Bake:
Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
Rest and Slice:
Allow the meatloaf to rest for a few minutes before slicing.
