WW Chocolate chip cookie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream Butter and Sugars:
    • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Add Eggs and Vanilla:
    • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients:
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Mix Dry Ingredients into Butter Mixture:
    • Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the butter mixture. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Add Chocolate Chips:
    • Stir in the chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Drop Cookies onto Baking Sheets:
    • Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The centers may still be slightly soft.
  9. Cool:
    • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
