Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground pork or turkey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari (for a gluten-free option)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste for spiciness)
- 1 bag coleslaw mix or 4 cups shredded cabbage
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté for a few minutes until it becomes translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger, and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the ground pork or turkey to the skillet. Break it up into smaller pieces and cook until it’s browned and cooked through.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce or tamari, rice vinegar, and Sriracha sauce to make the sauce.
- Pour the sauce over the cooked meat and stir to coat.
- Add the coleslaw mix or shredded cabbage to the skillet. Stir-fry everything together for a few minutes until the cabbage starts to wilt but remains slightly crisp.
- Taste the dish and adjust the seasoning, adding more soy sauce or Sriracha if needed.
- Remove the skillet from heat, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve your Egg Roll in a Bowl hot, and enjoy!
