Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground pork or turkey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari (for a gluten-free option)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste for spiciness)
  • 1 bag coleslaw mix or 4 cups shredded cabbage
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté for a few minutes until it becomes translucent.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the ground pork or turkey to the skillet. Break it up into smaller pieces and cook until it’s browned and cooked through.

  7. Add the coleslaw mix or shredded cabbage to the skillet. Stir-fry everything together for a few minutes until the cabbage starts to wilt but remains slightly crisp.

  9. Remove the skillet from heat, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
