Air fry lasagna
Ingredients:
- Lasagna noodles (oven-ready noodles work well)
- 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 jar (24-26 ounces) of your favorite pasta sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or Italian sausage until it’s browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked meat with the pasta sauce. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Now, it’s time to assemble your lasagna. In the air fryer basket or tray, add a layer of the meat sauce mixture to cover the bottom.
- Place a layer of lasagna noodles over the sauce. You may need to break the noodles to fit them into the basket or tray.
- Spread a layer of the cheese mixture over the noodles.
- Repeat the layers: meat sauce, noodles, cheese mixture, until you’ve used up all your ingredients, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.
- Cover the air fryer basket or tray with foil, leaving a little space for air circulation.
- Place the lasagna in the air fryer and cook for about 20-25 minutes, or until the noodles are cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Once done, carefully remove the lasagna from the air fryer and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Garnish with chopped fresh basil or parsley if desired, and enjoy your delicious air fryer lasagna!
