Air Fryer Breaded Chicken Wings Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb chicken wings, split at joints, tips removed
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for added spice)
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (you can use seasoned breadcrumbs or plain, according to your preference)
- Cooking spray or oil mist for the air fryer basket
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (182°C) for about 5 minutes.
- In a shallow dish, mix together the all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- In another shallow dish, place the beaten eggs.
- Place the breadcrumbs in a third shallow dish.
- Take each chicken wing and dredge it in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- Dip the flour-coated wing into the beaten eggs, making sure it’s fully coated.
- Roll the chicken wing in the breadcrumbs until it’s evenly coated.
- Repeat with the remaining chicken wings.
- Lightly spray or mist the air fryer basket with cooking spray or oil.
- Place the breaded chicken wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching each other. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Cook the chicken wings in the air fryer at 360°F (182°C) for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken wings from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the air fryer breaded chicken wings with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ranch dressing, barbecue sauce, or hot sauce.
