Air Fryer Brownies

Air Fryer Brownies

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  2. 1 cup granulated sugar
  3. 2 large eggs
  4. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  5. 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  6. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  7. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  8. 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  9. Optional toppings: chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or powdered sugar

Instructions:

  1. Start by preheating your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for about 5 minutes. Make sure to use an air fryer-safe pan or dish that fits inside the air fryer basket. You can line the pan with parchment paper for easy removal and cleanup.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in the microwave for about 30 seconds, or until it’s fully melted. Let it cool slightly.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Add the melted butter to the sugar and egg mixture, and stir until smooth.
  5. In another bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until the batter is well combined. Be careful not to overmix, as it can lead to tough brownies.
  7. Pour the brownie batter into your prepared air fryer-safe pan.
  8. If desired, sprinkle chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or any other toppings on top of the brownie batter.
  9. Place the pan with the brownie batter into the preheated air fryer and cook at 320°F (160°C) for 18-20 minutes. Cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer, so keep a close eye on the brownies and adjust the time as needed.
  10. After the cooking time is complete, insert a toothpick into the center of the brownies. If it comes out with a few moist crumbs, the brownies are done. If it comes out with wet batter, cook for a few more minutes.
  11. Once the brownies are done, remove the pan from the air fryer and allow the brownies to cool in the pan for a while. Then, use the parchment paper (if you used it) to lift the brownies out of the pan and onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  12. Once cooled, you can cut the brownies into squares, dust them with powdered sugar if desired, and enjoy!
