Ingredients:
- 4 medium-sized potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet work well)
- 3 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary (optional)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional for topping)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Potatoes:
-
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Wash and dry the potatoes. Slice thin cuts across the width of each potato, about 1/8 inch apart, stopping just before cutting through to the bottom (place the potato between two chopsticks to prevent cutting all the way through).
-
- Season:
- Mix olive oil or melted butter with minced garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs (if using).
- Brush the mixture generously over and between the potato slices.
- Cook in the Air Fryer:
- Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they aren’t overcrowded.
- Cook for 20 minutes. Check the potatoes, and brush with any remaining oil mixture if needed. Continue cooking for another 10-15 minutes until the potatoes are golden and crispy on the outside and tender inside.
- Optional Toppings:
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the potatoes during the last 5 minutes of cooking if desired.
- Serve:
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
