Air fryer Potato Slices

Air fryer Potato Slices

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 medium-sized potatoes (russet, Yukon Gold, or any other variety you prefer)
  • 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil or cooking spray
  • Seasonings of your choice (salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 380-400°F (190-200°C) for a few minutes.
  2. Prepare the Potatoes:
    • Wash and scrub the potatoes to remove any dirt.
    • You can choose to peel the potatoes or leave the skin on, depending on your preference.
    • Slice the potatoes into thin, uniform rounds, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. A mandoline slicer can help you achieve even slices.
  3. Season the Slices:
    • Place the potato slices in a large mixing bowl.
    • Drizzle olive oil over the slices or use a cooking spray to lightly coat them.
    • Season with your choice of seasonings. A simple combination of salt and pepper works well, but feel free to get creative with your favorite herbs and spices.
  4. Toss and Coat:
    • Toss the potato slices in the bowl to ensure they are evenly coated with the oil and seasonings.
  5. Air Fry the Potatoes:
    • Arrange the seasoned potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. You may need to do this in batches if your air fryer is small.
    • Cook for about 12-15 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through the cooking time. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the slices and the specific air fryer you are using.
  6. Check for Crispiness:
    • Keep an eye on the slices, and when they are golden brown and crispy, they are ready.
    • You can test for doneness by poking them with a fork or tasting a piece to ensure they’re cooked to your desired level of crispiness.
  7. Serve:
    • Once they’re done, remove the air-fried potato slices and let them cool for a minute.
    • Serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauce or condiments.
