Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes

Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (about 450g) of potatoes (Yukon Gold, Russet, or red potatoes work well)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or minced fresh garlic)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary or thyme for extra flavor

Instructions:

  1. Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris. You can peel them if you prefer, but leaving the skin on adds extra flavor and texture.
  2. Cut the potatoes into bite-sized pieces. Try to make them as uniform in size as possible to ensure even cooking.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the potato pieces, olive oil, garlic powder (or minced garlic), paprika, salt, black pepper, and any optional herbs or seasonings you like. Toss everything together until the potatoes are evenly coated.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Once the air fryer is preheated, place the seasoned potato pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking. You may need to cook them in batches if your air fryer is small.
  6. Cook the potatoes in the air fryer for about 20-25 minutes, shaking the basket or tossing the potatoes with tongs every 5-10 minutes. Cooking times may vary depending on your specific air fryer, so keep an eye on them. They are done when they are golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
  7. Once the potatoes are done, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Season with a little more salt and pepper, if desired, and serve hot. You can also sprinkle some fresh chopped herbs or grated Parmesan cheese on top for added flavor.
