Air Fryer Scones

Air Fryer Scones

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed 2/3 cup milk 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Optional add-ins (e.g., chocolate chips, dried fruit, nuts) Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs. The butter should be well incorporated into the flour.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. If you’re adding any optional ingredients like chocolate chips, dried fruit, or nuts, fold them in at this stage.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times to bring it together. Be careful not to over-knead, as scones should be tender.
  7. Pat the dough into a circle that’s about 1 inch thick.
  8. Use a round cutter or a glass to cut out scones from the dough. Place the scones on a parchment paper-lined tray that will fit in your air fryer basket.
  9. Place the tray of scones in the preheated air fryer and cook for 8-10 minutes or until the scones are golden brown and cooked through. The cooking time may vary depending on the size of your scones and the specific air fryer model you’re using, so keep an eye on them.
  10. Once they’re done, remove the scones from the air fryer and allow them to cool slightly before serving.
