Ingredients:
- 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 6 slices of bacon, cut in half crosswise
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to your preferred level of spiciness)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Toothpicks, soaked in water for 15 minutes
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to create a spice rub.
- Season each shrimp with the spice rub, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Take each seasoned shrimp and wrap it with a half-slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick. Repeat for all the shrimp.
- Place the bacon-wrapped shrimp on a baking sheet or ovenproof dish lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the shrimp are cooked through. You can also broil for a few minutes to make the bacon extra crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let the bacon-wrapped shrimp cool slightly before serving.
- Serve your keto bacon-wrapped shrimp as an appetizer or a main course, perhaps with a low-carb dipping sauce like a garlic aioli or a sugar-free barbecue sauce.
