BLT with Chipotle Aioli: Ingredients:
- 8 slices of thick-cut bacon
- 8 slices of your favorite bread (such as sourdough or wheat)
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Chipotle Aioli:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (finely chopped)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the bacon slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until crispy.
- While the bacon is cooking, prepare the chipotle aioli by combining mayonnaise, chipotle peppers, minced garlic, lime juice, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Toast the slices of bread to your desired level of crispness.
- Spread a generous amount of chipotle aioli on one side of each bread slice.
- Assemble the sandwich by layering lettuce leaves, tomato slices, and crispy bacon on top of the aioli.
- Season the tomato slices with salt and pepper to taste.
- Top with another slice of bread, aioli side down, to complete the sandwich.
- Cut the sandwich in half diagonally, if desired, and serve immediately.
