Cajun Turkey Wings

What you’ll need (serves 4-6)

 

3 – 3 1/2 lbs – Turkey wings cut and cleaned

1 tsp – Allspice

1 1/2 tsp – Paprika

2 tsp – Slap yo’ mama Cajun Seasoning

1 tbsp – Parsley

2 tsp – Garlic Powder

2 tsp – Onion Powder

1/2 tbsp – Basil

1/2 tsp – Cayenne pepper (optional)

Salt & Pepper (to taste)

1 tbsp – Olive Oil

1 cup – water

2 tbsp – Corn starch

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Thoroughly wash/clean turkey wings. Pat dry using a paper towel.

  3. Season turkey wings using all spices listed above. Drizzle with olive oil.

  4. Transfer turkey to an oven safe dish. Add water.

  5. Cover with foil and transfer pan to over and bake for about 6-7 minutes.

  6. Remove pan from oven. Spoon about half cup of the juice from the pan and pour into a small bowl, add cornstarch and whisk until cornstarch has dissolved.

  7. Pour mixture over the turkey wings.

  8. Cover pan with foil and return to oven. Bake for an additional hour and a half.

  9. Remove from oven, remove foil from pan, set oven to broil and return pan to oven for an additional 5 minutes.

  10. Remove and serve.

  11. Enjoy!
