Penne pasta, mozzarella cheese, pasta sauce and chicken nuggets combined for a baked weeknight main dish
INGREDIENTS
- PAM® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
- 8 ounces dry penne pasta, uncooked
- 1 can (24 oz each) Hunt’s® Traditional Pasta Sauce, divided
- 2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, divided (2 cups = 8 oz)
- 18 frozen Banquet® Chicken Breast Nuggets
DIRECTIONS

STEP ONE
Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray 8×8-inch baking dish with cooking spray; set aside. Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt. Drain and return pasta to saucepan.

STEP TWO
Set aside 1/2 cup pasta sauce. Add remaining sauce and 1 cup cheese to cooked pasta. Stir to combine; place mixture in prepared dish.

STEP THREE
Arrange frozen chicken nuggets on pasta mixture; top with reserved sauce and remaining 1 cup cheese. Bake uncovered 35 to 40 minutes or until cheese melts and chicken is hot.
TIPS
- Six frozen Banquet® Chicken Breast Strips may be substituted for the chicken nuggets, if desired.
