WW cinnamon rolls packed
Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 package (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
For the filling:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
For the icing:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2-3 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- In a saucepan, heat the milk, water, and butter until warm (120°F to 130°F). Add this mixture to the dry ingredients and beat well.
- Add the eggs and 1 cup of flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let it rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
- Make the Filling:
- In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until well mixed.
- Assemble the Rolls:
- Punch down the dough and roll it out into a large rectangle (about 18×12 inches).
- Spread the filling evenly over the dough. Roll it up tightly, starting from the long side. Pinch the seams to seal.
- Cut the roll into 12 equal slices. Place the slices in a greased 13×9-inch baking pan. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30-45 minutes.
- Bake:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Once the rolls have risen, bake them in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly in the pan.
- Prepare the Icing:
- In a small bowl, combine the powdered sugar, softened butter, vanilla extract, and enough milk to reach your desired consistency for icing.
- Drizzle the icing over the warm cinnamon rolls.
- Packaging:
- Once the cinnamon rolls have cooled completely, you can pack them into airtight containers or zip-lock bags for storage.
- If you plan to freeze them, make sure they are completely cooled and then place them in a freezer-safe container or bag.
- Reheating:
- To reheat the cinnamon rolls, you can microwave them for about 20-30 seconds per roll or warm them in a preheated oven at 300°F for 5-10 minutes.
