Dump and Bake Meatball Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound frozen meatballs (pre-cooked)
  • 1 can (24 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 cups uncooked rotini or penne pasta
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Assemble Ingredients:
    • In a large baking dish, combine frozen meatballs, marinara sauce, water, uncooked pasta, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Cover and Bake:
    • Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
  4. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  5. Uncover and Stir:
    • Remove the foil, stir the mixture well, and make sure the pasta is submerged in the liquid.
  6. Bake Again:
    • Bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the pasta is tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish and Serve:
    • If desired, garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.
  8. Serve Warm:
    • Allow the casserole to cool slightly before serving. Scoop portions onto plates and enjoy!
