- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped fresh herbs such as rosemary or thyme for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare the Foil Packets:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Tear off four large pieces of aluminum foil, each large enough to wrap around a serving of steak and potatoes.
- Place the foil pieces on a flat surface.
- Combine Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, combine the thinly sliced steak, potatoes, onion, and minced garlic.
- Drizzle the olive oil and Worcestershire sauce over the mixture.
- Season generously with salt and pepper, and toss everything together until the steak and vegetables are evenly coated.
- Assemble the Foil Packets:
- Divide the steak and potato mixture evenly among the foil pieces.
- Fold the foil over the ingredients, sealing each packet tightly to prevent any juices from leaking out during cooking.
- Bake:
- Place the foil packets on a baking sheet and transfer them to the preheated oven.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the steak is cooked to your desired level of doneness and the potatoes are tender.
- Serve:
- Carefully open each foil packet, being mindful of the steam.
- Sprinkle with chopped fresh herbs if desired.
- Serve the steak and potato foil packets directly from the foil or transfer them to plates.
