Homemade Bread in the Air Fryer
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: Herbs, spices, garlic powder, etc., for flavoring
Instructions:
- Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. If you’re adding any additional flavorings like herbs or spices, mix them in now.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic. Add more flour if the dough is too sticky.
- Let it Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
- Shape the Dough: After the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air bubbles. Shape it into a loaf or rolls, depending on your preference.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer at 350°F (180°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Bake the Bread: Once the air fryer is preheated, carefully place the shaped dough into the air fryer basket. You may need to bake it in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Air Fry: Bake the bread in the air fryer at 350°F (180°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Cool and Enjoy: Once baked, remove the bread from the air fryer and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
