Jerk steak shrimp

Jerk steak shrimp

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound steak (such as ribeye, flank, or sirloin), cut into thin strips
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons jerk seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish)
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the jerk seasoning, vegetable oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, lime juice, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Mix well to create a marinade.
  2. Add the steak strips and shrimp to the marinade, tossing them until they are well coated. Let the meat and shrimp marinate for at least 30 minutes, or refrigerate them for up to 24 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Once the grill or grill pan is hot, place the steak and shrimp on the grill. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the steak is cooked to your desired doneness and the shrimp is pink and cooked through. Baste with any leftover marinade while grilling for extra flavor.
  5. Remove the steak and shrimp from the grill and transfer them to a serving platter.
  6. Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro (optional) and serve hot with lime wedges on the side.

This soulful recipe combines the bold and spicy flavors of jerk seasoning with succulent steak and shrimp. Enjoy
