Keto Bread

Keto Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed (optional for texture)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (or coconut oil)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any keto-friendly milk)
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar (helps with rising)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional, for flavor)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Line a loaf pan (approximately 8×4 inches) with parchment paper or grease it with butter or coconut oil.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients:
    • In a large bowl, whisk together the almond flour, coconut flour, ground flaxseed, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder (if using). Make sure the ingredients are fully combined.
  3. Mix the wet ingredients:
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted butter, almond milk, and apple cider vinegar. Make sure the wet ingredients are well-mixed and smooth.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients:
    • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined. The dough should be thick but smooth. If it’s too dry, you can add a little more almond milk to reach a thick batter consistency.
  5. Bake the bread:
    • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.
    • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the bread is golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool:
    • Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Serve:
    • Slice and enjoy! This keto bread can be eaten warm or stored for later. It’s great for making sandwiches or as a side with your meals.

Tips:

  • Storage: Store this bread in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. It also freezes well—just slice it first, then wrap the slices in parchment paper and store them in a ziplock bag in the freezer.
  • Add-ins: You can add herbs like rosemary or thyme, or even cheese, for extra flavor.
  • Texture: Since this bread is made with almond flour and coconut flour, the texture will be a bit denser than traditional bread but still soft and moist.

Enjoy your keto bread! It’s perfect for a low-carb lifestyle and can be used in various ways to satisfy your bread cravings.
