Keto Garlic Knots

Servings: This recipe makes approximately 12 Keto Garlic Knots.

Ingredients:

For the knots:

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

    For the garlic butter glaze:

    • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    2. In a large bowl, whisk together the almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, and salt.
    3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Add the melted butter and shredded mozzarella cheese to the beaten eggs and mix well.
    4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough gently to ensure all ingredients are well combined.
    5. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions. Roll each portion into a rope-like shape, about 6 inches long. Tie each rope into a knot, tucking the loose ends underneath.
    6. Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
    7. Bake the knots in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and are cooked through.
    8. While the knots are baking, prepare the garlic butter glaze. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped fresh parsley (optional).
    9. Once the knots are out of the oven, immediately brush them with the garlic butter glaze, ensuring each knot is coated.
    10. Allow the knots to cool slightly before serving. Serve them warm as an appetizer, side dish, or snack.
