  • 12 oz mozzarella cheese sticks (cut into halves or thirds depending on your preferred size)
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil or avocado oil (for frying)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the cheese: Cut the mozzarella cheese sticks into halves or thirds if they’re not already cut.
  2. Set up your breading stations:
    • In one shallow bowl, whisk the eggs.
    • In another shallow bowl, mix the almond flour, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Bread the mozzarella sticks:
    • Dip each mozzarella stick first into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
    • Then roll it in the almond flour mixture until it’s fully covered. For extra crispiness, you can repeat the egg and almond flour steps for a double coat.
