Keto Spinach Mozzarella Stuffed Burgers
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef (preferably 80/20)
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil or cooking spray for grilling
Instructions:
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, shredded mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly distributed.
- Form the Burger Patties:
- Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions (you’ll be making 4 burgers). Flatten each portion into thin patties, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
- Stuff the Burgers:
- Take 4 of the thin beef patties and place a generous spoonful of the spinach and cheese mixture onto the center of each patty.
- Leave a small border around the edge of the patties to seal them easily.
- Place the remaining 4 thin beef patties on top of the spinach and cheese mixture, pressing down the edges to seal the filling inside.
- Grill the Burgers:
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Brush the grill grates with olive oil or spray with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Carefully place the stuffed burgers onto the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- Avoid pressing down on the burgers while grilling to retain the juices and prevent the filling from spilling out.
- Serve:
- Once the burgers are cooked to your liking, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
