Peanut butter m&ms cookies!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Peanut Butter M&M’s candies (plus extra for topping, if desired)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add Egg and Vanilla: Add the egg and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture. Beat well until smooth.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  6. Fold in M&M’s: Gently fold in the Peanut Butter M&M’s candies until evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.
  7. Form Cookies: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them a couple of inches apart. You can also press a few extra M&M’s onto the tops of the cookies for a colorful finish.
  8. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. The centers may still look slightly soft but will firm up as they cool.
  9. Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
