Pepperoni and Mozzarella Pull-Apart Bread Recipe

Pepperoni and Mozzarella Pull-Apart Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pepperoni slices
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • Marinara sauce (for dipping, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the cheeses: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the cheeses are melted and well combined.
  3. Mix dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond flour, baking powder, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt.
  4. Combine the dough: Stir the dry ingredients into the melted cheese mixture until a dough forms. If the dough becomes too stiff, you can microwave it for another 10-15 seconds to soften it.
  5. Add pepperoni: Fold in the chopped pepperoni slices until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  6. Shape the bread: Form the dough into a ball and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Press it down gently to form a disc shape, about 1 inch thick.
  7. Cut slits: Use a sharp knife to cut slits across the top of the dough, creating a pull-apart bread pattern.
  8. Bake: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the dough. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Garnish and serve: Remove the bread from the oven and garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired. Allow it to cool slightly before pulling it apart and serving. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping, if desired.
