Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes

Ingredients:

 

1 lb ground beef

1 green bell pepper, chopped

1 onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp ketchup

1 tbsp cornstarch

1/4 cup beef broth

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 hoagie rolls

4 slices provolone cheese

Directions:

 

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat until no longer pink.

Add the green bell pepper, onion, and garlic to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are softened.

In a small bowl, whisk together the Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, cornstarch, and beef broth.

Add the sauce to the skillet and stir until everything is well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Let the mixture simmer for 5-10 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Slice the hoagie rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet.

Spoon the beef mixture onto the bottom halves of the rolls.

Top each roll with a slice of provolone cheese.

Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Place the top half of the rolls on each sandwich.
