Poached eggs done in the air fryer
Ingredients:
- Eggs
- Cooking spray or oil (optional, for greasing the air fryer basket)
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for about 2-3 minutes.
- While the air fryer is preheating, crack each egg into a small bowl or ramekin. Be careful not to break the yolk.
- Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or oil to prevent the eggs from sticking (this step is optional but can be helpful).
- Once the air fryer is preheated, gently slide the cracked eggs into the air fryer basket. Be sure to leave some space between the eggs to allow for even cooking.
- Cook the eggs in the air fryer for about 5-6 minutes. The exact timing may vary depending on the size and model of your air fryer, as well as your desired level of doneness.
- Check the eggs after 5 minutes. If you prefer your eggs runny, they may need less time. For firmer yolks, cook them a bit longer.
- Once the eggs are done to your liking, carefully remove them from the air fryer using a spatula or tongs.
- Serve the poached eggs immediately on toast, English muffins, or your favorite breakfast dish.
Note: Cooking times may vary depending on the specific model and brand of your air fryer, as well as personal preference for egg doneness. It’s a good idea to experiment with timing to achieve your desired level of doneness. Additionally, you may want to adjust the temperature slightly higher or lower based on your air fryer’s settings and performance. Enjoy your poached eggs!
