Ingredients:
- 1 pre-made pie crust (9 inches)
- 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup chopped collard greens, cooked and drained
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the pre-made pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and press it firmly against the bottom and sides.
- In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet, let it cool, and crumble it into small pieces.
- In the same skillet, sauté the diced onion until it becomes translucent and slightly caramelized.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, and paprika until well combined.
- Sprinkle the crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, cooked collard greens, and sautéed onion onto the pie crust.
- Pour the egg mixture over the fillings in the pie crust, making sure it is evenly distributed.
- Place the quiche in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set. You can test the doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center – if it comes out clean, the quiche is ready.
- Once cooked, remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
- Enjoy ..
