Salmon Steaks

Salmon Steaks

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon steaks (6-8 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to your preferred level of spiciness)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. This will be the marinade for the salmon steaks.
  3. Place the salmon steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Make sure each steak is well coated with the marinade. Allow the salmon to marinate for about 15-20 minutes at room temperature. If you prefer a stronger flavor, you can marinate it in the refrigerator for up to 1 hour.
  4. Grease the grill grates to prevent sticking. Place the marinated salmon steaks on the preheated grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork. The exact cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your salmon steaks.
  5. While the salmon is grilling, you can brush some of the remaining marinade onto the steaks to enhance the flavor.
  6. Once cooked, transfer the salmon steaks to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
  7. Serve the soulful salmon steaks with your favorite side dishes, such as collard greens, mac and cheese, or cornbread, for a complete soul food experience.

Enjoy..
