SLICED POTATOES IN THE AIR FRYER

SLICED POTATOES IN THE AIR FRYER

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes (russet, Yukon gold, or your preferred variety)
  • Olive oil or cooking spray
  • Seasonings (such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, or any other preferred seasonings)

Instructions:

  1. Preparation:
    • Wash and scrub the potatoes to remove any dirt or impurities. You can peel them if you prefer, but leaving the skin on can add extra flavor and texture.
    • Slice the potatoes into even, thin rounds. You can use a knife, mandoline slicer, or a food processor with a slicing attachment. Aim for slices that are approximately 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
  2. Seasoning:
    • Place the sliced potatoes in a mixing bowl and drizzle with olive oil or use a cooking spray to lightly coat them. Toss the potatoes to ensure they are evenly coated with the oil.
    • Add your choice of seasonings to the potatoes. Common options include salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, or any other seasonings you prefer. Toss the potatoes again to distribute the seasonings evenly.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to around 380-400°F (190-200°C). The specific temperature and cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer model.
  4. Cooking:
    • Arrange the seasoned potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket or on the air fryer tray. Be sure not to overcrowd them; if necessary, cook in batches.
    • Cook for about 10-15 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through to ensure even cooking. Cooking times can vary based on your specific air fryer and the thickness of your potato slices.
  5. Crisping:
    • Continue to cook until the potato slices are golden brown and crispy to your liking. Keep a close eye on them during the last few minutes of cooking to avoid over-browning or burning.
  6. Serving:
    • Once the potato slices are done, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute or two. Then, serve them with your favorite dipping sauce, like ketchup, aioli, or ranch dressing.
