SLICED POTATOES IN THE AIR FRYER
Ingredients:
- 2-3 large potatoes (russet, Yukon gold, or your preferred variety)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Optional: garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, or your favorite seasonings
Instructions:
- Wash the potatoes thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or debris. Peel the potatoes if desired, though leaving the skin on can add texture and flavor.
- Slice the potatoes into uniform thin slices, about 1/4 inch thick. You can use a knife or a mandoline slicer for even slices.
- Place the sliced potatoes in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil or melted butter. Toss the potatoes until they are evenly coated with the oil or butter.
- Season the potatoes with salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings such as garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika. Toss again to ensure even seasoning.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
- Once preheated, arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overlapping or crowded. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Cook the potatoes in the air fryer for about 15-20 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time, until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
- Once done, remove the potatoes from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving dish. Serve hot as a side dish or snack, optionally garnishing with fresh herbs like parsley or chives.
