VEGAN AIR FRIED TOFU, LETTUCE, TOMATOES AND VEGAN MAYO ON HOMEMADE BREAD

Ingredients:
1 block of firm tofu
1 tsp of garlic powder
1 tsp of onion powder
1 tsp of paprika
1 tsp of dried basil
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tbsp of olive oil
4 slices of homemade bread
Lettuce leaves
2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
Vegan mayonnaise
Instructions:
Press the tofu to remove excess moisture. Cut it into 1/2 inch slices.
In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried basil, salt, pepper, and olive oil.
Place the tofu slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket and brush both sides with the olive oil mixture.
Air fry the tofu at 400°F for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until it’s crispy and golden brown.
Toast the bread slices in a toaster or on a griddle until they are golden brown.
Spread a generous amount of vegan mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
Layer the lettuce leaves, tomato slices, and air fried tofu slices on top of the vegan mayonnaise.
Top with the remaining bread slice and enjoy your delicious and nutritious sandwich!
