Air fryer chicken thighs

Air fryer chicken thighs

Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, salt, black pepper, dried thyme, dried oregano, onion powder, and garlic powder to make the marinade.
  2. Place the chicken thighs in a large zip-top bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken and ensure each piece is coated evenly. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for a few minutes.
  4. Remove the chicken thighs from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off. Place the chicken thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, skin-side down.
  5. Cook the chicken thighs in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes. Then, flip the chicken thighs and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and golden brown, and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Once cooked, remove the chicken thighs from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. This will help retain the juices and keep the chicken tender.
  7. Serve the air fryer chicken thighs hot and enjoy their crispy skin and tender, flavorful meat.

You can serve the air fryer chicken thighs with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad. It’s a simple and delicious  recipe that’s perfect for any occasion.
