Air Fryer Egg in a Toast

Ingredients:

  • Slices of bread
  • Eggs
  • Butter or cooking spray
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, diced herbs, or sliced avocado

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (180°C) for a few minutes.
  2. Prepare the Bread: Using a cookie cutter or a glass, cut a hole in the center of each slice of bread. Make sure the hole is large enough to accommodate an egg.
  3. Butter or Spray the Air Fryer Basket: Lightly grease the air fryer basket with butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  4. Place Bread in the Air Fryer: Arrange the bread slices in the air fryer basket. If you have multiple levels in your air fryer, you can do this in batches.
  5. Crack an Egg into Each Hole: Carefully crack one egg into each hole in the center of the bread slices.
  6. Season Eggs: Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper over each egg. Add any optional toppings you desire, such as shredded cheese or diced herbs.
  7. Air Fry: Place the air fryer basket into the preheated air fryer. Cook at 350°F (180°C) for about 5-7 minutes or until the eggs are cooked to your liking. Keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking.
  8. Serve: Once done, carefully remove the egg-in-a-toast from the air fryer. Allow them to cool for a moment before serving. You can add more salt, pepper, or additional toppings if desired.
