• Tortilla chips
  • Shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or your favorite)
  • Toppings of your choice (sliced jalapeños, diced tomatoes, diced onions, black olives, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, etc.)
  • Optional: cooked ground beef, chicken, or vegetarian meat substitute


  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
  2. While the air fryer is preheating, arrange a single layer of tortilla chips in the air fryer basket. Be sure not to overcrowd the basket; you may need to cook in batches.
  3. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese over the chips, making sure to cover them evenly. If you’re adding any cooked meat, spread it evenly over the cheese.
  4. Carefully place the loaded air fryer basket into the preheated air fryer and cook for about 4-6 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the chips are crispy. Keep a close eye on them as cooking times can vary depending on your air fryer.
  5. Using tongs or a spatula, carefully transfer the nachos to a serving plate.
  6. Add your favorite toppings like sliced jalapeños, diced tomatoes, onions, black olives, sour cream, guacamole, and salsa.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your air fryer nachos while they’re hot and gooey.
