Air fryer poached eggs
Ingredients:
- Eggs
- Cooking spray or oil (optional, for greasing)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
- Prepare the Eggs: Crack each egg into a small bowl or ramekin. This will make it easier to slide them into the air fryer without breaking the yolks.
- Grease the Air Fryer Basket (Optional): Depending on the non-stick properties of your air fryer basket, you may want to lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil to prevent the eggs from sticking. You can also use parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Poach the Eggs: Once the air fryer is preheated, carefully slide the eggs from the bowls into the air fryer basket. Be cautious not to break the yolks. Make sure to leave enough space between the eggs for air circulation.
- Air Fry the Eggs: Place the basket back into the air fryer and cook the eggs at 300°F (150°C) for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how well-done you like your poached eggs. For a runny yolk, aim for the shorter end of the cooking time.
- Check for Doneness: After the initial cooking time, check the eggs to see if they have reached your desired level of doneness. If they need more time, you can continue cooking them in the air fryer in one-minute increments until they are cooked to your liking.
- Serve: Once the eggs are cooked to your preference, carefully remove them from the air fryer basket using a spatula. Serve them immediately on toast, English muffins, or your favorite breakfast dish.
